A septic tank is
a chamber that is made up of fiberglass, plastic or concrete through which
household waste water flows for proper basic treatment. There are many septic tank parts that together form a
septic system; these parts are risers, aerators, float switches, alarms,
distribution boxes and septic tank filters. In this article I will briefly
discuss about the above mentioned parts of a septic tank system. TG wastewater
is one of the leading companies that offer different septic tank supplies.
Septic
System Parts
First and
foremost are the septic tank risers and covers. Septic tank risers are concrete
or plastic pipes that run vertically from the access ports of the septic tank,
these access ports are situated at the top most part of the septic tank. The
septic tank risers help in visualizing the performance of the septic tank.
Septic tank covers are made of plastic or concrete, it is used to cover the
open part of the septic tank. Septic tank aerators are used to assist the waste
water clarification process in the septic tank. The aerator pump provides
oxygen in the septic tank which helps in growth of bacteria and the bacteria
helps is breaking down the organic wastes in the septic tank. The septic tank switches and alarm is one of
the most important septic supplies
which help in the maintenance of the septic tank. The float switches gets
activated when the water in the tank reaches a certain height and then the pump
is turned off. The septic alarm is triggered when the water in the septic tank
is not pumped out into the drain fields or in the mounds. Septic tank
distribution boxes are used to eliminate the liquid wastes present in the
septic tank. Finally the septic tank filters, these are used to hold or
eliminate the solid organic wastes from leaving the septic tank.
